Assoc Prof Surajit Bhattacharyya
Associate Professor, School of Biological Sciences
|Prof Surajit Bhattacharyya is currently in the School of Biological Sciences since 2005. He received his Bachelor degree in Agricultural Sciences from India, Master in Biotechnology from India and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India respectively. Before joining NTU, SBS, Prof Bhattacharyya was Staff Scientist at the National Research Council of Canada, Montreal. His research interests include Structural Biology using NMR spectroscopy, and drug design. He has done significant research work his research areas and published over 70 top quality international conference and journal papers. He has been often invited as a referee and reviewer for a number of premier journals, including Nature Communications, Scientific Reports, Biochemistry, Langumur, Biopolymers, BBA, JACS and other ACS journals. Prof Bhattacharyya serves as an Academic Editor of the journals PLOS-ONE and Scientific Reports. Prof Bhattacharyya is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and Overseas Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (UK). Prof Bhattacharyya has developed courses for undergraduate students and actively engaged in teaching these courses.|
