Assoc Prof Kang Meng Chow
Adjunct Associate Professor
|Meng-Chow has been a practicing information security professional for more than 25 years with field experience spanning from technical to management in the various information security and risk management roles, including the Singapore government, major multi-nationals financial institutions, and security and technology providers. Meng-Chow joined NTU School of Computer Engineering as an Adjunct faculty member in 2014, and currently works for Amazon Web Services (AWS), responsible for AWS security assurance program in the Asia Pacific region.|
His research and part of his experience in the field have been published in his book, “Responsive Security – Be ready to be secure”, by CRC Press in Oct 2013.
Meng-Chow has been the co-Chair of the Asia Regional Information Security Exchange (RAISE) Forum, which he co-founded with a group of security experts in 2004, and a member of the (ISC)2 Asian Advisory Board since 2004. Since 2012, Meng-Chow chairs the Singapore Multi-Tiered Cloud Security Standards Working Group, which published the Singapore Standards SS 584 in 2013. Previously, Meng-Chow was Chair of the Singapore Security and Privacy Standards Technical Committee from 1998 to 2007, and the first Convenor of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27/WG 4 on Security Controls and Services Standards from 2006 to 2012.
