Prof Goh Kia Liang Gregory

Prof Goh is currently the Head of the Materials Growth Group at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering and also holds an adjunct position in the School of Materials Science and Engineering. He received his Bachelor (1st Class Hons) and Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore,and the Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is currently the Joint Treasurer for the Materials Research Society (Singapore) and also an Associate Editor for the international journal Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Letters. He has chaired several symposia relating to the growth of films and nanostructures at the International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies and also the International Conference on Technological Advances of Thin Films & Surface Coatings since 2005.
Research Interests
Prof. Goh's expertise is in hdyrothermal synthesis, film and nanostructure growth a epitaxy. His current research interests include:

* Growth of TiO2 films for spintronic and photocatalytic applications
* Hydrothermal synthesis of lead-free piezoelectrics
* Inorganic photovoltaic materials
* Low temperature solution epitaxy of ZnO films and nanostructures
