Asst Prof Dimitris Apostolopoulos

I studied philosophy at the University of Toronto (B.A., 2012) and the University of Notre Dame (Ph.D., 2017). My research interests are focused on 20th century European philosophy, and in particular on phenomenology. To date, a significant portion of my work has explored the relation between perception, language, and experience, with particular focus on Merleau-Ponty. I am currently pursuing projects on the reception of Hegel in French phenomenology, and on the development of French philosophy of history.
