Launch of the Maritime Sustainability R&D programme Grant Call under Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI)

Published on : 02-Dec-2014

As part of Singapore Maritime Institute's (SMI) efforts to support the maritime industry in Singapore, the Maritime Sustainability (MSA) R&D Programme is established to address the identified themes' research challenges and opportunities and thereby cultivate R&D capabilities and technologies. A total research grant amounting to S$4 million has been allocated to promote research through this open thematic grant call for proposals. This call for proposal under the MSA R&D Programme aims to seek proposals involving the research and development of innovative technologies, approaches and ideas towards Maritime Sustainability from the public sector research performers in Singapore.

SMI welcomes research proposals from Principal Investigators and researchers from the public sector research performers in Singapore for consideration towards funding. The public sector research performers would include entities such as publicly funded Institutes of Higher Learning and research institutes under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR).

Applicants are strongly encouraged to collaborate with the industry, overseas research partners as well as other eligible IHLs and research institutes.

Interested PIs are advised to contact MI@NTU on their interest in application if they would need assistance in looking for industrial collaborators.

More details can be found on SMI's website here.

All submissions (softcopy + signed hardcopy) must be submitted to RSO by 12 January 2015.
