  • Theme #1 Development of ITAR-free payloads in the area of asset-tracking for small satellites
  • Theme #2 Development of ITAR-free subsystems & components in the areas of power storage & generation, movement control and data communication for small satellites
  • Theme # 3 Development of automated and predictive analytics based on multispectral & SAR imagery for applications in precision agriculture, environmental monitoring or asset tracking
  • Special note: Researchers may submit proposals with themes that do not fall within OSTIn's mentioned problem statement, provided they contact OSTIn directly for assessment of their proposals prior to submission

Industry relevanceOSTIn focuses on industry-relevant R&D. Projects with a greater degree of industry support and collaboration are preferred by the OSTIn.
Briefing by OSTInOSTIn has invited all researchers to attend abriefing on 13 Oct 2014, 4 pm to 5:30 pm. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend. Please confirm attendance with OSTIn directly.

Interested applicants are requested to prepare their proposals in accordance to OSTIn's guidelines (attached). For submission of research proposals, PIs are requested to take note of the following:

  1. Administrative checking is done by applicants and respective School Administrators. A checklist will be distributed to the respective School Administrators shortly for your use. Interested applicants are requested to check with their School Administrators regarding their Schools' internal deadlines for administrative checks.
  2. Internal deadlines:
    • Summary table and signed checklists (to be submitted through School Administrators) to RSO no later than 18 Nov 2014 noon;
    • To avoid any unforeseen technical errors, all applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals online by 20 Nov 2014 noon for endorsement by the appointed institution authority
