NTU/NUS - JSPS Joint Research Projects and Joint Seminars FY2015 is now open for application.
The Japan society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the National University of Singapore (NUS)/Nanyang Technological University (NTU) carry out bilateral cooperative in accordance with their mutual agreement on international scientific collaboration. The aim of this programme is to form sustained networks evolved from individual scientist exchanges including young scientists, in the areas of Natural Science, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The duration of the research project is 2 years, and the amount awarded is up to S$38,000 per project per year. The research seminar on the other hand is for 1 week and the support for this is up to S$38,000.
The NTU funding for the above would be co-shared between schools (60%) and RSO (40%). Applicants should obtain approval of support from their schools before submitting their application to RSO.
Applicants should submit the following through their respective School Administrators to
1 September 2014.
- Application form for (a) Joint Research Project or (b) Joint Seminar
- A short CV from each NTU/Japanese Member on the research team
Kindly note that the Japanese Team should also be submitting a concurrent application to JSPS.
