The Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) and the National Centre for Research and Development (Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju) (NCBR) have launched the 4th Joint Research Programme grant call for proposals on 15th Feb 2017 (Wed).
The aim of the joint research programme grant call is to strengthen collaboration between Poland and Singapore researchers to advance science and technology in both countries.
A*STAR and Polish institutions have held three (3) joint grant calls in the fields of chemicals, materials and intelligent systems, IT, energy, disruptive technologies, and security in cyberspace.
For the 4th A*STAR-NCBR joint grant call, NCBR and A*STAR would like to invite researchers based in Poland and Singapore to submit proposals for joint research projects in the area "MEMS - Harsh environment compatible sensors for Industry 4.0 applications."
ELIGIBILITY AND FUNDING
This Call for Proposals is open to all Singapore public sector research organizations, including A*STAR RIs. For every proposal submitted, there should be 2 Co-Principal Investigators (one Singapore-based, and one Poland-based). The Poland-based PI must concurrently submit the joint proposal to Poland's NCBR.
A*STAR will fund the research costs of the Singapore-based researcher, while NCBR will fund the research costs of the Poland-based researcher.
Each research project will be
funded up to S$300,000 (for the Singapore component) for
up to 3 years, inclusive of indirect costs for non A-STAR research performers.
APPLICATION AND CLOSING DATE
Singapore applicants are required to apply electronically via the Integrated Grants Management System (iGrants)
May 2017, 17:00 (Singapore Standard Time). The following completed documents (using the requisite template) should be uploaded to the relevant sections in iGrants::

- Budget, Milestones, Work Contribution and KPIs Form (submit in excel format)
Poland-based applicants are required to submit their application forms to NCBR's email address, email@example.com.
All documents should reach RSO by
8th May 2017 for D-RSO's endorsement. This is to ensure sufficient time is given for the uploading of the documents to iGrants and for any potential system errors.Incomplete submissions or submission that fail to obtain all endorsements by the grant call deadline will strictly not be considered.Interested applicants are requested to check with their School Administrators regarding their Schools' internal deadlines for administrative checks
