2014 SATU Joint Research Scheme Call for SATU Member Co-PIs

The Southeast and South Asia and Taiwan Universities (SATU) International Secretariat is now seeking proposals for their Joint Research Scheme. This research scheme serves as a platform to integrate resources and facilitate mutual research cooperation among SATU member universities on the proposed research topics. Interested PIs are advised to contact the relevant PIs/Co-PIs (listed in the research scheme document) of the host centers to discuss on the details of the research of interest.

For the 2014 SATU Joint Research Scheme Call, there will be 2 hosting universities: University of Malaya and National Cheng Kung University.

1.       2014 SATU Joint Research Scheme Hosted by the University of Malaya (UM)

·          Co-PIs need to fund their own portion of research project as UM research funds cannot be transferred overseas

2.       2014 SATU Joint Research Scheme Hosted by the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU)

·          NCKU hosts will offer the travel support of Co-PI whose institutions are outside of Taiwan a visit to NCKU between July and September 2014 (including 2 nights’ Zenda suite accommodation and economy-class roundtrip airfare (max. 20,000 NTD, about 670 USD).

 

Interested PIs are also recommended to consult NIEO prior to completing the output in section 6 which requires a write-up on policy agreed between the two groups concerning publication of results and the attribution and exercise of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The deadline for submission to SATU is 9 April 2014. The completed application form should reach Research Support Office by 7 April 2014, 5pm. Please forward the softcopy of the full submission to kegpeisi@ntu.edu.sg (Peisi).
