Infectious Disease Symposium: "The Genomics of Hosts, Pathogens and Their Interactions"

The British High Commission and the Genome Institue of Singapore (GIS) will be hosting this symposium.

 
Date: 17-18 June 2008
Venue: Biopolis, Singapore

Confirmed speakers include eminent scientist Sir Roy Anderson, incoming Rector of Imperial College, London. He will be joined by leading researchers from the UK, Singapore, South East Asia and China. Opening the symposium will be the UK Minister of State for Science & Innovation, Mr Ian Pearson MP, as well as the Chairman of A*STAR, Mr Lim Chuan Poh.

This workshop provides an important experience for graduate students, post doctoral fellows and scientists in the region to get the most up-to-date information in this field. As a result of this workshop, the British High Commission, Singapore will make available a number of travel grants for researchers attending the workshop to visit counterparts in the UK to develop collaborative proposals.

Participation at the symposium is free of charge, but only open to those who have successfully registered at the website, with a limited capactiy of 300.
