Fighting crime in the digital age - NTU's vein pattern identification system

Apart from fingerprints and other unique parts of our anatomy is our blood vessels pattern. Based on this, researchers at NTU had developed a way to identify criminals from their digital photos. Assoc Prof Adams Kong, Director of the Cyber Security Lab at NTU says because human skin is actually semi-translucent, which means light which penetrates beneath the skin is actually recorded on a camera when a digital photo is taken.
