Following a global search, international curator and Massachusetts Institute of Technology associate professor Ute Meta Bauer has been named the founding director of the new Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) in Gillman Barracks, which will open officially on 23 October. The CCA is an art research centre and exhibition venue that was slated to be one of the key features of the year-old Gillman arts cluster, but its opening has been delayed for months. The centre is managed by NTU and supported by the Economic Development Board.
