|Prof. Zheng Jie received his Ph.D. in 2006 from the University of California, Riverside and his B. Eng (first class honors) in 2000 from Zhejiang University in China, both in Computer Science. Before joining NTU, he was a research scientist at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. His research interests include developing novel algorithms and data analysis methods in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics in order to help answer Biomedical questions (such as the mechanisms of human diseases) and improve public health. While trained as a Computer Scientist, Prof. Zheng maintains active and long-standing collaborations with Life Scientists.|
