Biography
Dr. Suwichit (Sean) Chaidaroon was born in Chiangmai, Thailand. He earned his undergraduate degrees in Mass Communication and English from Chiangmai University. In 1999, he was a Fulbright scholarship recipient to study MA in Speech Communication at the University of Washington, Seattle. Then, he moved on to study Ph.D. in Organizational Communication at the University of Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Chaidaroon’s first teaching career at the university level was at Chiangmai University, his hometown. After he completed his Ph.D., he joined California State University San Bernardino and taught in the Communication Studies Department. In 2006, Dr. Chaidaroon moved to the University of Sydney in Australia where he taught in the Media and Communications Department and the Master of Strategic Public Relations program.

In 2009, Dr. Chaidaroon joined NTU as assistant professor in the Public and Promotional Communication Division, Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. He is excited to be back to teach and research in the Asian environment where he hopes to contribute back to the community in this region.
Research Interests
Dr. Suwichit (Sean) Chaidaroon is interested in studying corporate and organizational communication from an intercultural perspective. He has conducted research on intercultural communication in workplaces, conflicts, crisis communication, and marketing communications. Currently, he is working on research projects in the following areas:

• Building a civility and culture of respect in workplaces
• Employment of cancer survivors
• Corporate social responsibility in Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Singapore
