| Biography |
| Caroline Pluss is Assistant Professor in the Division of Sociology at Nanyang Technological University. She is researching the transnational characteristics of various groups of migrants in Hong Kong and in Singapore. She is interested in analyzing the intersections between identity formation and transnational cultural, social and economic characteristics. She has published her research in top-tier jopurnals, including 'International Sociology', 'Racial and Ethnic Studies', and the 'British Journal of Sociology'. Currently, she is researching why and Chinese Singaproeans, how have lived in differnt places, intersect processes of cultural and economic globalization. Caroline Pluss is teaching in the areas of Culture, Globalization and Identity; Ethnicity and Ethnic Relations; Cotemporary Sociological Theory; and Qualitative Sociology. |
