Biography
Dr. Lu Ming jointed NTU as a visiting professor right after he retired from Norway at the end of October 2011. He is currently co-director of the NTU-JTC Industrial Infrastructure Innovation Centre. Before joining NTU Dr. Lu was Chief Scientist at SINTEF, which is No. 4 largest independent research organization in Europe, and Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Dr. Lu has more than 40 years experience in rock engineering. His expertise includes design and construction of underground rock caverns and tunnels; use of underground space; planning and implementation of geological investigation of underground works; design consultancy and quality assurance of road tunnels; project management of large underground project; and research and development on rock mechanics and rock engineering.
Dr. Lu is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences.
