Biography
Dr. Zhou is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interests focus on micro/nano mechanics of materials and structures, novel computational methods for modeling material behavior, and sustainable energy and green technologies. From 2007 to 2010, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Surface Engineering & Tribology, Northwestern University, USA.

Dr. Zhou has authored 3 encyclopedia sections and authored and co-authored over 50 papers in refereed journals including Physical Review Letters, Applied Physics Letters, Physical Review B and Acta Materialia. He has served as a reviewer for international journals and as an organizer for international conferences. He currently serves on Elasticity Committee of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is also a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE), and International Chinese Association for Computational Mechanics (ICACM).
