Jimmy is a research scientist at Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), A*STAR. He is also an adjunct assistant professor with the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; and adjunct scientist with Singapore Eye Research Sinstitute, Singapore General Hospital.
Jimmy had more than 20 years of working experiences with both industries and academia. Jimmy has authored/co-authored more than 100 international refereed journal and conference papers as well as invented/co-invented more than 10 PCT patents.
His major research interests include medical image processing, image-guided robot assisted surgical training, glaucoma and ocular disease diagnosis. Jimmy has been awarded with many competitive research grants. He is leading many multi-disciplinary research projects now as Principle Investigators. Among them, Project AGLAIA (http://aglaia.i2r.a-star.edu.sg) is to conduct automatic glaucoma diagnosis and Its genetic association study through medical image informatics, the project collaborator is Singapore Eye Research Institute. Project IRAS (http://iras.i2r.a-star.edu.sg) is to conduct Image-guided robot assisted surgical training, the project collaborators are NUH, NUS and A*STAR IHPC institute. |
