Biography
Dr Keck-Voon LING is currently an Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and the Deputy Head of the Control and Automation Division at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, NTU. He obtained a BEng (First Class) in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 1988 and a DPhil in Control Engineering at Oxford University in 1992. He was awarded the Commonwealth Fellowship by Association of Commonwealth Universities in 2001 and the Tan Chin Tuan Fellowship by NTU in 2005. Dr Ling was a visiting researcher at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, in 2001 and 2006. He also holds a joint appointment (2004-2010) as a senior scientist at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) where he leads a team of researchers and engineers to develop solutions for distributed intelligent process monitoring and control. From 2006-2010, Dr Ling was appointed the Programme Manager to assist the ASTAR Science and Engineering Research Council to coordinate, oversee, and develop a framework for the Embedded and Hybrid Systems II (EHS-II) Research Programme. His current research interests include model predictive control, receding horizon estimation, and their embedded and high speed implementations on reconfigurable computing platforms and applications.

Keck-Voon Ling's areas of experties include control and optimisation, Online Laboratorties and Embedded Systems. His current research interests include model predictive control, receding horizon estimation, and their embedded and high speed implementations.
