| Biography |
| Dr. Chan Syin is currently Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. She graduated with first class honours in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 1987 and obtained the PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Kent at Canterbury, United Kingdom in 1993. Her research interests include multimedia information retrieval, web information extraction, ontology applications and multimedia understanding. |
