Prof Ho Kim Wai is the Associate Dean (Research) and Associate Professor of Banking and Finance at the Nanyang Business School. He has held other positions at NTU, including being the founding Director of the MSc (Financial Engineering) Programme, the Director of the Nanyang MBA (Banking and Finance) programme and a member of the Nanyang MBA Advisory Committee. Prof Ho’s teaching and research interests are in corporate finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, financial modelling and business valuation. He conducts executive education programmes in these areas for multinational companies, banks and government organisations.
Prior to joining NTU in 1989, Prof Ho was the Financial Controller and Company Secretary of a publicly listed multinational corporation. Before that, he had several years of audit experience in Big Eight (now Big Four) international accounting firms in London and Singapore.
Prof Ho graduated with a First Class Honours degree in BSc (Mechanical Engineering) from Imperial College. He then qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales, and later obtained a Master of Finance from RMIT University, Australia and a PhD in Finance from NTU. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Singapore.
Prof Ho was conferred the Public Service Medal Award (PBM) in August 2005. |
