Assoc Prof Liang Zhao-Xun

Associate Prof Liang Zhao-Xun is currently in the School of Biological Sciences since Sep 2005. He received his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Lanzhou University (China) and Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the Northestern Unversity (US). His research focuses on the structure and function of proteins, particularly the enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites and bacterial biofilm formation.
Research Interests
I am interested in the structure and function of some newly discovered proteins that are of potential importance for the treatment of human diseases. The proteins under investigation range from enzymes involved in antitumor natural products biosynthesis to potential antimicrobial targets in pathogenic bacteria.
