Mr Sven Pfrommer
Lecturer, Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information
|Originally coming from a creative industries background I entered the academic world by teaching visual communication and advertising in higher education in Southeast Asia for the past years. |
Since 1995, I am working as an art director in the commercial advertising and design world. Starting as a freelancer for agencies in Berlin and London I finally found myself running my own boutique agency for several years before entering the education field. During my creative career I worked with clients from almost all industries, from small start-ups to global players.
After my degree in Germany I was lucky to gain a scholarship by the British Council to continue my studies at the Royal College of Art in London. I was also honoured by winning the Berlin Airlift award and the Walter Thiemann award. I am thankful to spend my creative career in both the print era and the digital era and experiencing the big change that the communication industry had to undergo.
|Sven Pfrommer’s areas of research interests include: advertising communication, art and advertising, visual communication and technology, photography in advertising, brand communication,|
