Prof Zhang joined the Division of Manufacturing Engineering on 3 January 2012 as an Assistant Professor.

Before joining NTU, he was a senior research engineer in the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University in 2007. Before that, he studied for his MS degree in NTU (SMA-IMST) and worked in HP-Singapore between 2001 and 2002.
Research Interests
His main research interests are in bioinspired engineering, including bio-tribology, neural sensors, etc..
