|Gerard Gonzales is Adjunct Associate Professor at the Nanyang Business School (NBS), where he has been teaching marketing subjects at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. He is an associate fellow of the Institute on Asian Consumer Insight (ACI) and has conducted marketing workshops for NBS' and Cornell-Nanyang Executive Development Programmes. He holds an MBA (Hospitality & Tourism Management) and a Bachelor of Accountancy. He attained his Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) title from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association in 1989, while serving as managing director and general manager of the Hollywood Palm Hotel in Hollywood, California, USA. In 1996, he was awarded the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board Gold Medal Award and The Raffles Hotel Book Prize in the Nanyang Business School’s MBA programme. He is also co-author of a chapter in the book “Business Opportunities in the Philippines” published by NTU and Prentice Hall.|
Gerard Gonzales has close to 40 years of international management, consulting and training experience in several countries in Asia, America and Europe. Prior to setting up his management consulting practice in 1989, he held positions as managing director, general manager, financial controller, administrator and internal auditor with various hospitality organisations in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and the USA. Since 1989, he has trained and consulted in the areas of strategic planning and marketing, asset and financial management, organisational development and customer value management with chain and independent hospitality corporations located in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Nepal, France and the United Kingdom. His firm’s clients include The Ascott Group, Citadines Apart’Hotel, Raffles Knowledge, NTUC Club, Asia Pacific Breweries, Hewlett Packard, and the Sabah Economic Development Corporation.
