SBS researcher receives Long Term Fellowship 2016 award from Human Frontier Science Program​

​Congratulations to Dr. Sachel Mok from Assoc. Prof Zbynek Bozdech's lab, for  being awarded the prestigious Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Founded in 1989, HFSP funds frontier research on the complex mechanisms of living organisms and has provided support for highly innovative cross-border collaborative research to scientists all over the world. The Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is designed to support early-career scientists who take on the challenge of broadening their expertise and expanding their international network of collaborators.

A total of 697 applications were received in this round from applicants originating from over 50 different countries. Dr Sachel Mok is in the top 10% of applicants to the Program which is a significant accomplishment in an international competition with a rigorous selection process. Dr Mok emerged as the first Singaporean to attain this prestigious award since Singapore became a member of HSFP in 2014.
